We C/I in the hotel from June 12 through the 14th. When we walked to the room was fine but the bathroom was disgusting. The toilet floated during the night. I called the front desk and they told me that no plumber was avail during the night and wait until the morning. I told them that someone need to fix the problem because my wife was pregnant and she need to use the bathroom frequently. Around one hour late a guy came and fix the problem. Next day we decided to go to the beach early in the morning because we made reservations for a show in the evening. when we came back around 12:30 pm........ Surprise!!! no water in the room. I called the FD and explain the situation they just told me that the problem was out of their hands due a construction issue. I became really furious and went personally to the FD. I argue with the lady in the FD no notice was given to me when I C/I. She just told me that the water will be back at 2pm and if I need to use the bathroom we can use the one in the FD. I was totally furious for the lack of comunication with us. After half hr fighting with them they connect the water back. There were no construction around I swear. I told the lady how u guys have water in the lobby and no water in the rooms???? She couldnt answer my question. It seems that they want to save some money in the water bill cutting the water for 2 hours every day. The breakfast is not continental is only donuts, bagels and waffles. In the room they have menu for the ticki bar but no prices in the menu. We came back to the room very tired and we decided to buy something to eat in the tiki bar. Surprise!!!!!! make sure you have enough money in your pocket!!!! I ending paying 12.95 for a steak sandwich and 2.00 extra for onions and cheese. That was ridiculous. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody if you want to try it expect the worst.
44 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at this motel at the end of September into October 07 having stayed there a few years before. We got a good rate, but then it was 'off season'. Our room was comfortable, though the bed we used seemed a little small and soft. The kitchen area was all new with fridge, microwave and plenty of storage. The bathroom was fine. The service, pool area and reception are still good and relaxing. breakfast is bagels, dough nuts and DIY waffles along with coffee and juice. The room was all clean and there was a large LCD TV with plenty of channels along with a seating area. This motel can get noisy, particularly in the pool area were there is a popular bar and burger restaurant - it's worse at the weekend if there is a big sports match on. Luckily our room was round the back. The motel is well situated and ideal for those on vacation in Naples or 'snowbirds' on a budget. I gather the rooms vary since some at least are individually owned and it depends what the owner has had done. Some units were for sale whilst we were there with prices ranging from I think 50,000 USD to 150,000 USD which I guess reflects the standard of the room. We had a comfortable stay and would go there again. It was better value overall than a cheaper place we stayed at the week before in Naples.

I have been staying at the Gulfcoast Inn formaly Quality Inn Gulfcoast for the past 17 years. Although the rooms have been renovated, they are all different. I was in a renovated room done very cheaply with a tiny TV with few channels and a horrible bathroom. My friend had a room two doors away and it was a beautiful room, with a large TV that got HBO and many channels. Dirty bathroom also.
