Gulf Beach II Luxury Motor Inn Motel - Page 1

I'm not sure where the positive reviews came from, but our stay was far from pleasant. First we drove up and the looks are definitely deceiving, the exterior is nice but not the inside. Our room came with two double beds both comforters were still damp from being cleaned, the plastic cover that goes over the AC unit was hanging down, the tub/shower was all moldy, the vanity area was coming apart, only two of the lights in the room would turn on, and it's not right on the beach like most would think, there's a walkway that leads you to the beach but it's not on the beach like the Radisson and one other motel. All of this cost us $80, we would have rather spent an additional $40 to stay at the Radisson next door. It seems as if they want to charge rates of the Radisson but not the quality.

I was glad to find out that they kept my reservation. When I got there the hotel was nice on the outside. But inside was a little different, I don't think it was worth the money, I was told it was 60 bucks for two beds and they charged me almost 80 bucks. I was horrified. It didn't stop there, my 13 yr old brother sat on the bed and one side of the bed fell, it broke one of its legs, we laughed so hard. Oh and we weren't even on the beach view. The restroom smelled like urine, man we will never rent there again, at least not for 80 bucks.

Did not hold reservation for us. But that was the good news, after we looked at what they had to offer. It does have that third world charm though.

To bad, because it is located right on the beach.

I go there every year. The owners are great. The location on the beach and the rooms are perfect for the price. The employees will bend over backwards to make your stay great. I would recommend this place to anyone who is on a budget but still wants a great place to stay.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: This hotel made us feel extravagant because it was on the beachfront and it did not cost a fortune, leaving me an my spouse plenty of money to spend in the area.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It was close to everything that we wanted to see and do. The employees were pleasant and knowledgeable. We would stay there again if plans allowed.
