Because we have stayed here before, we came back. However, this time was horrible for the fact that they were remodeling our hallway. They took down the wallpaper and you could see the mold! They began the remodeling on Sunday and by early Monday (8 am), they began taking down doors and putting down floor coverings, and just being noisy! It was not fun walking down this hall. Imagine carrying food to your room, or walking bare foot to the pool! The room was very nice and included a full kitchen! The staff including the the cleaning staff was very friendly and pleasant! Which is why we recommend you wait to go here until they're finished, or request to be on a different hallway. We were on the first floor. We don't know what they were doing upstairs. One other thing to note, the blankets on the bed, were WAY too small! (twin size on a queen)

I felt kind of bad for them, they had just been "renovated". My room was the single with a queen bed. The furniture was shabby, the ceiling in the bathroom looked badly damaged and hastily repainted. The bed was a queen that had king sheets on it....
The price was reasonable and the location great for all your needs. There is a grocery store, gas staion and a handful of restaurants all within walking distance.
The only complaint I have is that the front help was not very friendly. I should not include all the staff just the a.m. staff. There is a computer for guest use and a printer but when I requested to print a document the desk person was rude and not helpful in anyway. My husband stated the she was not feeling well. I guess she should have stayed home! Because when I left I did not feel well!
The cleaning staff could do a little better it is hard to believe the property was remodeled in 2005.
All in all we would stay here again for our next visit to Mayo as the price is right and that far outweighs the negative!

Rooms are very old. Wall paper under vanity falling off the wall, knicked tubs, kitchenettes are OLD OLD OLD, beds are old and need updating. Do not plan to stay again even if it's cheap. Many places are only $5.00 or so more so I'm going to check ...

We have stayed at this property many times while seeing doctors at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. It is conveniently located near the clinic, free shuttle service to the clinic and hospitals is provided, the staff is friendly and the clinic rates are fair. The only problem we've ever encountered was a malfunctioning heater early in the heating season. The desk person I spoke to about it changed our room when we requested it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone having treatment at the Mayo Clinic.

The hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that they were working on the roads in Rochester, so the motel was kind of hard to get to.
