Excellent hotel in the heart of downtown. Easy access to attractions and cable cars. Staff very friendly and the views are worth the experience!

Our room had a compact kitchen, a couch, and a king size bed. It was more than what we needed for a two night stay. Parking was gated behind the hotel at a cost of $30/night. The internet was a little slow, however they have PCs in the lobby for guest use which were complimentary. Even printing our tickets for Alcatraz was no charge.

We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go, including Pier 39 (20 minutes or so).

The staff at the front desk was very polite and helpful.

The only bad thing was the lack of air conditioning. It got hot during the days and the room would heat up quite a bit. We had a balcony so we were able to open the door during the evening to allow the room to cool down. Without a screen door however, a couple bugs flew in...

Overall, a good place to stay. I would consider staying here again however not if I could find something comparable with air conditioning.

The hotel was very nice and it had a great view of Union Square. From the thirteenth floor our balcony had a great view of the financial district as well. During the nighttime, opening the window curtains created a very romantic setting.

Located somewhat near Nob Nill in San Francisco, this small and sweet hotel has its own charm. The service was well above average and provided everything we needed. Although the rooms were a bit small, the views from above made all the difference. I would definitely stay again.

If your primary visit is to enjoy SF and not be in a 5 Star Hotel all day, then this is for you.

The location is excellent, cable cars are only one block away. Get a Muni Pass, 1, 3, 7 day passes are inexpensive and well worth the money. The hotel staff was very helpful. The rooms have a small kitchenette. The hotel is great for kids, there are stores like 7/11's on most corners. If you are like my wife and me and the vacation is more important than the room that we basically sleep in, this is an excellent place.
