The hunt and peck desk clerk was friendly enough, as he sat in the stale lobby, and he was kind enough to turn down the TV, whose cord blocked access to the local brochures. But the room was filthy and in disrepair. Light switches at the door were black with grime, and the reading lamp (which was on the switched plug) was turned off in the corner where the reading chair was missing. The ceiling light fixture in the wash room didn't opperate, and the coffee filter basket had too rarely seen a cleaning. Holes in the bathroom wall gave evidence of where a towel rack had been. The carpet was sticky. On a positive note, the bed sheets seemed clean on the broken down queen, and the hot water was instantaneous. The new AC though was improperly installed (with cracks) kept the road noise in the background. Don't go there if you can help it. Best Western was closed, and we didn't know there were other motels to the west of us. Avoid unless you like dirt.
