I recently stayed at Griffin Gate for 4 days and it is a great hotel. The beds are really really comfortable! The people that work there are really friendly. They have really great Kentucky Butter Cake with Bourbon Sauce! It is also a very...
We had a good time at this hotel...liked the down comforter on the bed, clean corner room with huge balcony. Dislikes were that our room was directly above a very loud wedding party which was playing music until 11pm and a group of high schoolers...

For the same budget, I would stay at the Embassy Suites that is right
across from the Marriott Griffin Gate. Breakfast is often included. In Embassy suites from 5-7 PM we got free soda, chips, and salad, and wine. Rooms are better than Marriott Griffin Gate.
If you like the look of luxury, Griffin is great. But poor service. I would
not recommend to any family on a pleasure trip. Stay away folks, stay away from Marriott Griffin gate at Lexington. It is a rip off.
We recentley stayed at the Griffen Gate Resort for a planned vacation with my company. The hotel was beautiful, very clean rooms, however nothing was ever quite right...starting with lost Spa reservation, to no silverware with room service, waiting...
Love the Hotel, and the recently added Spa. Rooms and facalities (pool) were an excellent resort getaway for me and my girlfriends. The Mansion food was Top Notch. I highly recommend a morning at the spa followed by an afternoon of fun at...
50 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
My recent 7 day stay at this Marriott was my worst Marriott experience in 20 years. The food was expensive, not very good, and the service was poor. My dinner guest had lobster bisque that she took two bites of and left and the waitress left it setting on the table the entire meal, and never asked if there was a problem with it.
The most inexcusable thing that happened was I had a envelope/package sent next day USPS to arrive on Saturday June 16. I went to the desk to check on the package five times between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The desk kept telling me it had not arrived. They insisted if USPS had delivered it would be at the front desk. I requested they contact me as soon as it arrived. 3 days later they still had not notified me that the package arrived. I showed them proof from the USPS service the package had arrived Saturday at 10:30 a.m. They gave me the excuse it was delivered to the loading dock and so it sat in an office, several yards from the front desk. When I asked what they were going to do to address this problem the desk manager said he would have to find out who messed up on Saturday. He didn't get back with me for over 24 hours. So I checked again and he still had not figured out who on his staff was responsible so he couldn't offer a solution yet. I informed him I was leaving the next morning and needed a 4:45 wake up call. He said that would occur. I NEVER received the wake up call. I did receive $50.00 in cash for the package problem, which was not very satisfactory given the poor service.
Also, a barking dog resided in the room across the hall from us. Our bathroom had one towel bar, and it was broken throughout our stay, the bar came apart from the ends, the caps were lying on the floor in the shower and it remained broken throughout our entire stay. The carpet was dirty.
Marriott should disenfranchise Griffin Gate. It's way below the Marriott standards. They charge more than 13.oo a day for internet. A full service hotel, I think not.
