This hostel is owned by the same company that brings us the infamous Green Tortoise Bus Tour Company, known for their cozy, bed converted buses, and travels to beautiful scenic locations all over the US, and Latin America.
The hostel is very similar to the bus experience. The rooms have a bunk bed feel very similar to the buses. There is a huge Victorian-style common area with a night club atmosphere. There is a common huge kitchen that serves a free healthy breakfast. There are multiple computers available for use, and wireless internet. The hostel is mostly for international travelers, but if you are friendly enough and have a good reason, they may allow non-international travelers to stay. I was planning on staying at another hostel, and when I realized that the Green Tortoise Hostel was next door to Club Sake where I was taking photos that night, I asked them if I could stay there, and they were kind enough to allow it. Very friendly people, very nice accommodations!
