Great Lakes Motel - Page 1

This motel is the closest to Great Lakes Naval Base. We booked two nights and ended up staying an additional night. The rooms were very clean and cozy and they are close to many attractions such as Gurnee mills and Great America.

We will stay here again for our second sons graduation.

The owner was very pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The place is quiet and safe. Will definitely visit again.

In the evening upon arrival the heater was off at a 4 degree temperature. The bed was so cold it almost felt like ice and the chairs were just as cold!

We went out to eat, came back, and complained again. We finally had to go outside again never experiencing that brutal temperature and we were finally moved. That room was better. So I took the blow dryer. Finally I got a knock on the door, and they told me that the first room was not really cold! What I am making it up?

I had to gather my things go to another room that I was now offered to me as a hot room and, yes, finally the third time it was. I had to go back outside and knock on my parent’s door to let them know I was in another room. I was there for graduation.
