A Retreat from the Everyday. Open year-round. Bar Harbor's first Green Certified lodging of any type. Breakfasts emphasize local ingredients. All rooms have a king or queen bed - many with canopy - and private bath. Some rooms have a working wood-burning fireplace, sunroom, private sitting room, or balcony. Start the day with a tray of locally roasted coffee outside your room then come down to a full hot breakfast served at your table on our sunny enclosed porch or in the dining room in front of a wood fire in the winter. Baked goods are made from scratch each morning. Enjoy afternoon refreshments on the veranda or in front of the living room fireplace. Play croquet on the lawn, or take a nap in a hammock. Restaurants, shops, and galleries are only a short walk away. We are only a mile from Acadia National Park with 60 miles of carriage roads, 120 miles of hiking trails, and miles of the most majestic coastline in the State of Maine. The Graycote is here to welcome you in any season, whether you wish to "do it all" in the great outdoors, or simply relax and "recharge your batteries" on the country's most beautiful island.

The Graycote Inn is charming, spotless, a "green" B&B (which we applaud) and within easy walking distance to all of the best that Bar Harbor has to offer. The inn offers a beautiful garden for strolling, a delightful front porch with...

Pat and Roger arranged for a birthday lemon meringue pie to be delivered for breakfast at the table so that all sang to my Darling for his birthday. We were delighted. Roger has a wonderful sense of humour and knows the island like you'd expect of ...
We just visited the Graycote Inn for the second time and once again loved every minute of our three day stay. The Innkeepers, Roger and Pat couldn't have been nicer. They let us know what events were going on for the weekend and what sights we ...
We have stayed at the Greycote three times, and each time it was a wonderful, relaxing experience. I enjoyed the innkeepers - a husband and wife - immensely, they were thoughtful, helpful and spent time with us making sure we had enough to do (for...
Last December, I stayed at the Greycote Inn. The male Innkeeper felt more like a Drill Sergent than an Innkeeper. Ordering to take off shoes and even snapped at me during breakfast because I changed from one seat to the next to allow a woman to...
