This is one of the lower end Wyndham motels which charges for hidden extras. If you only stay overnight and pay at check-in, you probably won't notice the extra fee for the safe in your room that you had no reason to use. I think the manager was expecting me to debate it with her when I left her the key card the following morning, but I had already decided I didn't want to negatively impact the long day's drive ahead of me. Otherwise, there are no particular complaints. This is a fairly normal small motel directly off the I-5 exit for Highway 99. The roadway is one way only so if you miss the driveway turn-in, you'll have to come back again on the parallel street. My room did have a small fridge and microwave. The bath was a stall shower, no tub. There is a small room next to the office which is used for the free morning breakfast. Because the motel is on the main highway through town connecting to the coast, there are lots of other lodgings as well as places to eat and shop. Crater Lake NP is an easy day trip as is accessing the Rogue River for water sport activity. I guess you could even stay here and see the plays and music events in Ashland and Jacksonville, both about 30 minutes away. I noticed that a bus trip of young people stayed at this motel the night I was there.

Mediocre
The biggest problem was that the room did not smell clean. It had a dank, musty odor, the toilet was not cleaned and there was mold/dirt in the corners around the shower. It also looked like there were stains on the bedspread. It wasn't the best ...
33 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Sorry to say, this was the second worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived an hour before check in, but despite the fact our room was ready, we were not allowed to check in. We had to kill an hour wandering around town in the heat, just to wait until the proper check in time, even though we had just driven four hours and were exhausted! They were not even nice about it, we were just told abruptly that we would have to come back when it was the proper time to check in.
Upon check in, the room had a peculiar odor, was small, dated and stiflingly hot. We cranked on the air conditioning, rested a bit, and then left our room to do some sight seeing.
When we returned, the air conditioner had broken, and would no longer operate at all, so we had to be moved to another room. The new room had long, dark hairs in the shower (gross!!). We went to bed, and discovered the following morning that something nasty and crusty was dried on our blanket (!!), but it had been flipped over to hide it. Completely grossed out, I brought the tainted bedding to the front desk and angrily showed it to the same woman who would not let us check in an hour early the day before.
She was indifferent, and didn't act too concerned about it. I went home, and sent a letter of complaint to Travelodge. They responded that the manager of the hotel would contact me to resolve my complaints, but it never happened.
If you are looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay, even Motel 6 would be better than this place. Not clean, and their customer service is completely non existent.

Good
It's a Travelodge - what more can you say. The amenities are minimal, but it's clean and the price is right. It is just off the freeway, and very close to a lot of eateries, so very...

Horrible
It had AC. Check out was at noon. They charged extra when we arrived, the beds moved on wheels. The hotel itself was not bad. I did not like the Hollywood framed beds though. I have never been charged extra for a bed for my children. I have never...
