My husband and I went there on our honeymoon this past January of 08' though they were having construction going on they still took care of all our needs and much, much more! The staff was "very" pleasant and the manager was just awesome. My husband and I had the time of our lives, till this day we still tell our friends and family of the wonderful time we endured. The room was just perfect the view we had was just amazing the memories are just priceless. In the evening you could not ask for a better romantic place in the state of florida. It was all worth it!
40 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Well after driving 800 miles my wife and I went to check in and everything started out fine. Then when instructed to go to see someone else (Joe) about our parking pass it all went down hill fast. We were given our parking pass and were treated very well until we were asked to set up a breakfast one on one owner update session. I stated that we were not interested. And he got very rude very quickly. He said " So you think you know it all " and I stated " NO I just know all I need to know for now " so he started rattling off thing at which he believed I didn't know and come to find out he was wrong about everything that came out of his mouth. He continued to cry like a baby and he finally walked away back to the activities dept. where two ladies were sitting. My wife and I had a couple of questions for them so within a minute we walked back there only to have Joe continuing to act like an idiot. They should have named him JOKE! We filed a complaint about him with management but believe me I know they could care less. Blue Green ignores these kinds of issues and I believe they probably encourage it!
Now for the good stuff! My wife and I really enjoyed the rest of our stay after the initial BS! Our room was clean, pool was very nice, hot tub at pool was ok, location was good (15 mins from downtown St. Augustine), grounds were well kept, and we did ask for some more towels, which were delivered within 10 mins.
So my advise to anyone thinking about going there is to associate with the staff as little as possible. If you can do that then I believe you will be happy with your stay.
