Questions: My husband and myself arrived in Reno on the 20th of June,
after making reservations 1 1/2 months in advance. After waiting in line
for 20 minutes we attempted to check-in only to have the young woman
seemingly scurry to find us a room. We were directed to room 186. For
ONE, the room was filthy! Trash on the bathroom floor, the toilet
unwashed, burns on the floor, side tables and bedspread, and discovered
NO bathtub. It seems we were given a handicap room (the only conclusion
since you needed a wheelchair to get to the end of the hallway.) The
shower was a handicap shower!!!!!!!! The beds were HARD as a rock, the
pillows as lumpy and extremely well used. Wanting "room service" we
discovered we had NO Menus" and NO indication of ANY SERVICE!!! I
called the front desk to get an upgrade (which could have been a broom
closet) only to be told that one would NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE NEXT
DAY!! The filth in this room prevented me from showering and I had to
sleep in
my clothing for fear of the bed not being changed from previous
occupants. The bathroom was OBVIOUSLY NEVER CLEANED!! On our way out of
the hotel, there were 2 policemen confronting what was obviously a
prostitute in the hallway trying to get back into a room she had been
locked out of. I have NEVER been so sickened in my 58 years. I shudder
to think that this was an everyday occurance in your hotel. We checked
out at 4:30-5:00a.m. We have told everyone who would listen in Reno and
have already told 25-30 people enroute to Washington state and will
begin to "SPREAD THE WORD" to ALL FAMILY and friends here. We would
have been happier with some small "truckers" motel. I will also be
e-mailing my dis-satisfaction with your hotel all over the internet and
to your citys' vistors internet site. Needless to say we found a
WONDERFUL Hotel and finally discovered the TRUE HOSPITALITY of "RENO".
P.S. Your television commercial plays in this state "What a great
opening to tell everyone
watching to NEVER GO THERE!!!
