with a budget, traveling for leisure

I have been to this buffet twice now and I love it. I am sure there are better buffets that costs more but for 7.77 with a players card you can't beat it! I love the salads and desserts. I have not tried everything yet. There are many choices and can't eat them all in one visit. The atmosphere is very nice and the longest I had to wait was an 1 hour on a Friday night. Time went by fast as me and my friends gambled and talked.

I highly recommend it!

23 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stay at the grand sierra and summit on August 8th for 2 nights I stayed in the Loft and the Summit. The room was ok. The room was so dark. I hated it. The service was very poor. I expected better shops instead it was a ghost town. With shops that were over priced. The employees in the shop pick and chose who they want to assist. As I was leaving the casino with my husband a guest threw up on my leg along with another guest. I was so grosed out I went right up to my room and took a shower. I called right away to the front desk the only thing they said was did you confront the guest? and I had told them how was I suppose to? When she ran to the bath room throwing up? They didnt seem to care or help me so they transfered my call to house keeping how was house keeping suppose to assist me? I let them know what happend and they said the manager would contact me. 6 hours went by and nothing. I then called and talked to front desk manager Brent.. Who was very un-helpful and rude. The only thing he can say is its not there fault this happend. I told him That I was spending $350 per night for a suite and for this to happend it was un called for. Again he did not care. All I wanted was for them to dry clean my nice pants I was wearing out to dinner but they couldnt even assist me with that. After the poor service I recieved throughout the weekend I have decided this is the worse place to go. Im sure silver legacy has much more customer service.

58 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Questions: My husband and myself arrived in Reno on the 20th of June,

after making reservations 1 1/2 months in advance. After waiting in line

for 20 minutes we attempted to check-in only to have the young woman

seemingly scurry to find us a room. We were directed to room 186. For

ONE, the room was filthy! Trash on the bathroom floor, the toilet

unwashed, burns on the floor, side tables and bedspread, and discovered

NO bathtub. It seems we were given a handicap room (the only conclusion

since you needed a wheelchair to get to the end of the hallway.) The

shower was a handicap shower!!!!!!!! The beds were HARD as a rock, the

pillows as lumpy and extremely well used. Wanting "room service" we

discovered we had NO Menus" and NO indication of ANY SERVICE!!! I

called the front desk to get an upgrade (which could have been a broom

closet) only to be told that one would NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE NEXT

DAY!! The filth in this room prevented me from showering and I had to

sleep in

my clothing for fear of the bed not being changed from previous

occupants. The bathroom was OBVIOUSLY NEVER CLEANED!! On our way out of

the hotel, there were 2 policemen confronting what was obviously a

prostitute in the hallway trying to get back into a room she had been

locked out of. I have NEVER been so sickened in my 58 years. I shudder

to think that this was an everyday occurance in your hotel. We checked

out at 4:30-5:00a.m. We have told everyone who would listen in Reno and

have already told 25-30 people enroute to Washington state and will

begin to "SPREAD THE WORD" to ALL FAMILY and friends here. We would

have been happier with some small "truckers" motel. I will also be

e-mailing my dis-satisfaction with your hotel all over the internet and

to your citys' vistors internet site. Needless to say we found a

WONDERFUL Hotel and finally discovered the TRUE HOSPITALITY of "RENO".

P.S. Your television commercial plays in this state "What a great

opening to tell everyone

watching to NEVER GO THERE!!!

Poor

The room was very nice, maybe not as nice as they think it is. It was renovated and done a tad on the cheap. The bathroom was nice but the soap dish and few things had chipped wood.

DON'T rely on the amenities to have a nice time though. We LOVE BUFFETS, but when we arrived the locals had formed a line for a $7 deal that was almost a half a mile long! A motley crew of deal meisters waiting for their $23 bucks of food for price of a burger. Most looked like they couldn't even afford a burger!

The estimated wait for the buffet due to this frenzied deal was 2 hours from reliable staff members who stated this goes on EVERY WEEKEND!

Either the restaurant doesn't care about hotel guests or it's completely a seperate entity out to hurt the Hotel. We scattered as most did to another hotel restaurant. Most in line there were hotel guests upset about the insanity of not having an expedited line for people paying $110 a night for a room! That was us.. very disappointed and this was to be our Anniversary getaway dinner and luxury hotel room. We were so disappointed, we were up, checked out and on our 1 hr drive home by 8 am.

It has an excellent location. They have non stop top notch casino action. Bowling, driving range, a movie theater, great restaurants, everything you need is under one roof. They really take good care of you at the Grand Sierra hotel.

This hotel made me feel excited: They have wonderful amenities, an excellent staff and terrific customer service.

I am very likely to return to the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
