STAY AWAY - STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!! Hotel not clean or kept up. Tiles missing from very many balconys to the point it looked dangerous. Our bathroom not cleaned our entire stay. Musty smell overcome by too much deodorizer spray. Beds so hard we had to purchase inflatable swim rafts to put on bed. Bathtub so small we hit our elbows. Both came away with a mysterious rash that continues to spread - doc not sure what it is. Indoor jacuzzi pool located adjacent to lobby and indoor cafe - with no privacy whatsoever between lobby or cafe. Enjoy the jacuzzi while diners watch you - yeah! NO movie channels, not even HBO or even the ability to view a video. Most of the plugs didn't work, so had trouble with my oxygen machine. To top it all off, we were double charged causing overlimit fees on credit card and they refuse to refund overlimit fees. Offered a free nights stay - as if we'd ever stay again?

What a horrible place to stay. When we arrived we immediately were met by two desk clerks who didn't speak very good english (one was from Ukraine, the other from Russia). I immediately noticed the "smell" (stale cigarettes and old, dirty carpeting). After we checked in we went to our room and the air wasn't on (it was over 90 degrees)! My husband walked around the bed and stepped in a soaking wet carpet from where the air must have been leaking for some time (hmmm, probably why they didn't have it turned on). We went to the front desk and complained. We were "upgraded" to the 3rd floor facing the river. Well, needless to say the entire hotel was terribly dirty, extremely outdated, and the staff was just terrible. The elevators didn't have air conditioning, the carpet was filty, the doors to the emergency phones were hanging by one screw, graffiti was written on the doors, and actually I felt unsafe riding in them. I had the pleasure of walking by the wash/linen room when they had left the door open and noticed that it was concrete, mildewed walls and all the towels, sheets, blankets, etc., that we were sleeping in were touching the walls. We stayed two days and left. I would NOT recommend this hotel to ANYONE! Oh and the shower leaked, water was all over the entire bathroom floor (good thing I didn't take my shoes off; couldn't walk on that carpeting in bare feet). The "80 channels of TV is NOT true; they even advertise free HBO which wasn't available. Oh and get this, they give you a "free" breakfast coupon. We get up in the morning to get our "free" breakfast and guess what? You have to purchase a drink in order to get your "free" breakfast which they don't say is either 2 pancakes OR a biscuit and a ladle of gravy. IF you want the buffet you have to buy a drink AND pay $5.95. It was truly the worst false advertisement I've seen in years. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg sure isn't what it use to be. On our way out of town I asked a local waitress why all the foreign workers and she informed us that last year over 3,000 foreigners were brought to the area to find jobs...good luck getting the southern hospitality you may have grown accustom to in this area; it's a shame, it will be my last trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I believe anyone who gives this hotel a good review has GOT to be an employee hyping their rating!

We came for a weekend to get away and was pleased with our stay. We know that it is not perfect, somewhat dated but the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and hospitable. the breakfast was free and hot. You can upgrade for a full buffet for $5.95 if you are really hungry. There is a large Hot Tub in the lobby area with a 5 story waterfall. We were pleased.

This "Grand Inn Resort" is a joke. Wecame down for the rod run an decided to stay here when we checked in they told us to park bout 3 miles away and to ride the trolly back... which i was unhappy about when there is a big lot half empty on a friday evening right in front. I had a friend with me who is hadicapped, i asked the security guard if i could park in that lot he told me i needed a VIP pass from inside so i asked about that they said sure for an extra 300.00 dollars. Well by then i was really un happy i went back to that lot an told the security guard what they said he shook his head, so i told him about my friend an he said to go ahead an park just to put the handicapp sticker in the window.. thank the good lord for him. I also spoke to a guy there who was also handicapped he said he found out they had painted over handicapp parking spaces in the"VIP" lot to make some extra money. The food was not that great at all, the towels smelled funny, bricks falling off the balconys. All an all i think this place is very overrated an overpriced!!! I would expect this out of a 29.95 special motel not the "GrandInn Resort" nas they call it. NEVER NEVER NEVER STAY HERE!!!!

we recently stayed at the grand resort hotel the stay was just okay. the beds were very comfortable but small. we had a room on the first floor behind where the waterfall was located and across the hall from the elevators, boy was it noisy. about 11:00 pm a group of people (about 15) decided to have a very loud conversation in front of the elevators (right outside of our room), that was so rude. they were so loud talking, and laughing. i looked out of our window to see what was going on and they looked right at me but kept on talking. my son and my husband was asleep but of course i couldn't sleep. if you stay there get an outside room. don't think we will stay again.
