We stayed in this hotel recently- good room and loaction. It is only 15mins walk from the Old Montreal. This is centerally located in Montreal Downtown. Room as exactly as it was shown in pics- good value for money! The only donwfall was the Toilet Flush was not working- had to call Hotel staff sereval times before someone came and tried rectifying it. It still didnt work so we had to move to a different room on our own- proactive measure should been to apologize and send someone to help us with the luggage because it wasn't our fault. But that didnt happen. Reception staff was otherwise courteaous and helpful apart from the Manager who was not interested. At check out, asked the Manager for the feedback form and his answer was that it is in the room. When told him that we didnt find it in the room, he did not offer to get us the feedback form. Parking is paid $18 a day for Valet parking- but good option as you have the liberty to take your car out as manay as times, otherwise if you park on your own it is $16 a day for one time parking only. Overall, was a good luxury hotel.

Close to the nightlife district and near subway for easy travel around the city. The rooms are exceptionally large and comfortable. But the best part is certainly the location.

Horrible
I had a horrible stay at this property. The location is very convenient. When I got to my room, the free wireless internet was so slow it was virtually useless. I made several calls to the front, desk, the manager on duty. The manager said she...

This past week, we went for the "Just for Laughs" festival and stayed at the Doubletree Hotel. Having to pay $* per night, we thought we were in for a treat! We have had many vacations at other hotels and found this one lacking. Firstly, when we...

I'm a picky traveler, however this hotel was more than a match for my usual displeasure. The staff was more than knowledgable about their buisness and the cleanlieness of the hotel was astounding. I would suggest this as a stay for anyone looking...

Good
This hotel is in a good location to explore all of Montreal because of it's location at a Metro stop and within walking distance of a great dining district. Hotel is moderately nice, and an excellent value.

The location of the hotel is excellent, located directly on a main metro line, and a close walk to downtown. For those arriving in Montréal by bus, it is located one stop north of the Central Station on the Montgomery subway line.
When checking in we were asked to wait for 20 minutes while they accommodated a tour bus behind us, which didn't provide make us feel like valued guests. However, the offer of freshly baked cookies softened the blow.
There were a few items from the previous occupants left in the room when we arrived, but overall the cleanliness was superb, as was the room service throughout our stay. The only complain I had was regarding the television - it was configured with only 15 channels, although there were 40 available; in order to reach them we needed to type in the numbers one-by-one, a little annoying when you want to channel surf.
Although we didn't use any of the services of the hotel, I have previously attended a conference at this location, and can attest to the business facilities they offered.

After staying in Mont-Tremblant for 2 nights, we went straight to Montreal and stayed a night at the Doubletree plaza hotel in June 2007.
We received a very warm welcome with 2 free hot baked cookies while checking in. The receptions there are very nice and polite, but I was shocked when we were told $19cad for parking and finally we figure it's free to park accross the street from 9pm-9am and $3 an hour otherwise. Overall a good experience.
Pros:
-Very close to Eaton centre/St. Catherine st.
-Right beside Old montreal
-Room is very clean overall
-Good price for this level of hotels
Cons:
-Parking is EXPENSIVE ($14CAD for single entry parking or $19 unlimited)
