We came here as we were getting married in New York - there was a cock up with the allocation of room on arrival (we'd prebooked & paid for the Lexington but were allocated a slightly smaller room) but this was sorted quickly enough by Ian the bellboy, who helped us when we couldn't get through to reception by phone.
After this, the service we received was first rate. On the day of the wedding we came back to our room to find complementary Champers & Strawberries in Chocolate left with a lovely card from Sanjida on reception.
The Lexington suite is large but not overtly so for the money, with TV's in either room and a nice comfy sofa bed. There was also a fridge and desk which came in very useful. The room was very clean throughout our stay, the housekeeping was excellent, and the clock radio is compatible with your iPod. Which is nice.
We were given complementary vouchers on arrival for free tea or coffee from the downstairs lobby coffee bar, which was good as no tea or coffee making facilities are available in the rooms.
You do have to pay for internet access either through the TV service or on your laptop via T-Mobile so watch out. Free newspapers are left by the room door during the weekdays.
Concierge service was excellent throughout, the lobby is stunning and the staff were helpful (though the Manhattan Sky bar owner was a bit abrupt so we didn't bother returning there).
Beware though - health and safety is a bit lax as the plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom was a bit suspect. Excellent aircon but would have expected some sort of extractor in the bathroom... if you know what I mean.
Overall we would have expected a bit more for 4 star hotel, but you can't fault the location of this place and if you can find any bargain prices it is heartily recommended.
