Grand Hotel Plaza Roma Hotel - Page 1

I WISH I had read the previous review before booking here. The photos of the main common areas are true to the website, such as the beautiful ballroom and the elegant dining area, but who uses a ballroom? The day concierge was the rudest person I have ever encountered in travel, unless he was speaking to an Italian traveler. I think they don't want to look friendly to Americans. The photo of the outside terrace is a stretch, and a very average bar brand drink is $18 up there with an obnoxious waiter hounding you. The maid cleaning the room was pleasant and one front desk/check in person really tried to make up for everyone else on staff.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We spent a month in Europe and stayed at many different hotels and didn't experience anything quite this terrible anywere else. The staff was really rude and they cancelled our reservation. After cancelling our reservation they were extremely rude and continued to be once they finally got us a room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
