59 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Even though the building was nice looking a broken roof drain pipe near the entrance soaked us going in. Check in was prompt. The room had a very loud heater in it. Also the bathroom had a vent for a ceiling fan but it had no fan or switch in it. The game room was filthy with dust (from remodeling?) and a lot of the games were broke & pool balls missing. Swimming area was slick on deck surface. Upon leaving we ask for a copy of our bill and were told that since we went through the internet we would no get one. STRANGE! P.S. loud people in room next door kept us up rm704. no dishes or utinsils or brochure to tell whear to locate anything
I am not likely
to return to the Grand Hotel Ocean City.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I HAD MY FIRST STAY AT THE GRAND THIS YEAR. I WILL BE RETURNING TO THIS HOTEL MY NEXT VISIT TO OCEAN CITY. THE PRICE WAS GREAT, VIEW SPECTACULAR AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. THE ONLY COMPLAINT AND I WON'T BE RETURNING TO IS THE PIZZA SHOP. WE WITNESSED WHILE WAITING ON OUR ORDER THE EMPLOYEE EATING FOOD OUT OF THE BINS USED TO MAKE THE PIZZA'S. NEVER SAW HIM WASH HIS HANDS JUST KEPT GOING BACK AND DOING IT OVER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. VERY QUIET AND VERY CLEAN

Other than the great location, I would not bother with this overpriced, undermanaged hotel. Housekeeping is laughable, check in is a DISASTER!! Manager does not seem to have a clue how to run a hotel. It's too bad, since the location is great-which to me means it's really close to Fishtales:)

I liked the location and the views were awesome!!!
Our room had a wet carpet, so wet when you stepped on it there was water visable!! Contacting maintenance & was told they would get back to me - went to the desk about an hour...

I called and was quoted $319 for one night and when we got there the lady said the same room was $389! When I told her I was quoted $319 on the phone and that $389 wasn't even quoted on their internet site, the unfriendly lady said to ignore...
Hotel was clean,view isnt bad,,bar was ok,not really a hangout tho. if you wanted to use the internet you had to find a desk down in the lobby area to use it,a/c worked ok,shower pressure isnt good esp when you have alot of sand to deal...
