Grand Beach Resort Resort - Page 1

I took my 16 year old son and 3 of his friends from June 7th through June 14th, 2008. We had a wonderfull time. We had a three bed room unit, plenty of room for all of us. The unit was facing the pool and lake, so when the boys were at the pool I could keep an eye on them. The unit had been remodeled so everything was new. The grounds were beautifull, well kept. The beach area was very nice. There is a basketball court so the boys played basketball. It was very close Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Malls and lots of Resturants. Lets just say we will be going back next year.

It was nice for my money! I was happy with the location we could walk to stores and Down Town Disney was near by and lovely. My kids enjoyed fishing and Wal-Mart near by. I read one of the other reviews and thought ORLANDO IS IN THE MIDDLE OF FLORIDA! THERE ARE NO BEACHES! so it is hard to believe she expected a beach? GET A MAP!

If you looked hard enough, you'd see that the resort shows it's age. However, the grounds are kept clean, and well lite at night. We were there from March 31- Apr 3,2008. It's located about a mile from Disney, which was Great! The rooms are large and spacious. The fittness room is very small, walking the beach was much better. The staff was Great. The whole vacation was wonderful!

I stayed here with my brother and our wives, plus 4 kids, in August 2007. Our 3-bedroom unit on the 3rd floor was facing the pool. Very nice, plenty of room for our two families. The unit was clean, as though they had recently upgraded it. The kids ages were 2, 7, 7, and 8. They had plenty of fun in the pool. We did not venture down to the lake. The lake is there to look at. Don't plan on a sandy beach or swimming in the lake. If you want a tan, find a chair near the pool. We didn't spend too much time during the day there since we were always out at the parks. I would stay here again.

The BEST thing about Grand Beach Resort...The activity directors!! The staff that worked this area were AMAZING!! My 8 and 11 yr. old had a hard time picking between going to Disney for the day or staying at the resort and playing pool games, having ice cream, doing arts and crafts, and making balloon animals. The staff even took the time to teach my youngest how to make balloon animals all on her own! (This was her favorite part of the trip!) I can't say how great the activity directors were here...By far the BEST!

The condo itself was very nice and clean. The three bedrooms (TWO MASTER SUITES!) each had their own TVs and bathrooms! The living room was a little small and the furniture in it was a bit worn, but other than that, all was very nice.

The location is very close to Disney World, which was great, but there is no restaurants or shopping in walking distance. Walmart, shopping and restaurants are within close driving distance though. Parking was a little hard to come by when returning from a late night at Disney. (They really could use more parking spaces)

Over all a great family friendly place to stay! Quiet, clean, comfy, and a very friendly staff! My family would love to go back!
