The place was not well kept, the house smelled like raw sewage. The pool had not been cleaned in some time. The area was very dangerous and we were not comfortable in walking beyond the compound.
The man who runs the hotel / hostel was not presentable in his appearance. The rooms were not very presentable as well, as the sheets had stains on them and the pillows were smelly - we were not happy at all with our choice, but we had reserved it in Canada and we did not see it until we got there and we were told that we could not cancel our two nights stay, so we ended up giving the owner one night stay of our money and never to return to this hostel ever again!
How can owners keep your money if you have to reserve with a credit card? This does not seem right! We asked for our money back when we arrived, but we did not get it back - after a 12 hour day - we went into our room and slept for the night, but we the left first thing in the morning!
