Quiet, well located-Great workout center!Room dark, and relatively unattractive-on a back wall, facing other rooms. Beds comfortable, room sort of dark, and the low wattage bulbs exacerbate that aspect, a lack of comfortable chairs, no ice available ...
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over...

pros: Location and LobbyMy husband and I booked a Jr. Suite in this historic Portland landmark for my 50 BD 2 months in advance. When we called to confirm reservations (the day of arrival) they said they gave us a "complimentry king room upgrade"....

The VALLET was the Great! You pay $24 for overnight! Well worth it... The HOTEL is CLEAN & SIMPLE & ELAGANT in it's own way! It was hard not to notice the nasty smoke smells around every corner. I should have done more research....

I have just moved here form Scottsdale, Arizona and have been at Jakes at the govoner hotel 3 times and have been sorley dissapointed in the food. The food is average at best. The service has always been by a career server that always looks down at...
