The hotel is not centrally located as advertised. The capet was quite dirty; looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years!! Trays of food were left in hallways from BREAKFAST throughout the afternoon. The staff is polite, but not very...
In 2007, I was pleasantly surprised by the guest room which was situated on one of the top floors of the Gouverneur. After the five hour drive from Toronto to Montreal, I instantly felt at home in this immaculate suite. The furnishings were perhaps ...

They have great parking under the hotel. It is in a convenient section of Montreal. You can walk to just about anywhere in Montreal. It has easy access to metro, shopping, casino and other entertainment.
I am not likely
to return to the Gouverneur Place Dupuis Montreal.
I might recommend it to friends.

38 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Hotel was situated at a perfect location, for the venues on St. Catherine Street. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were big, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were terrific with updated furnishings, clean bathrooms and great views. The restaurant was wonderful too. Food is way better than the usual hotel fare. The swimming pool on the 5th floor is pleasant. The fitness center is not big, but it's alright. The subway station was so close which was very convenient to go around town, which happens to be a key transfer point for three subway lines as well. Hotel is also located atop a Montreal underground shopping center. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at La Place DuPuis for over a week. What a great experience due to the friendly service, French/English (bilingual) speaking staff. Excellent view of Montreal and great location near a lot of activities. The hotel is on top of a mall,...
coffee maker not really clean, mini bar is locked, carpet a little sticky - somewhat of a turnoff. Nonetheless, staff is extremely helpful and polite. Location cannot be beat..
