I had a 3 day reservation, and i was please how the staff took care of me like a V.I.P., i tried booking months in advance but forgot to book it. I called in and they found me a perfect room. The room was clean, the housekeepers did a nice job, i just feel bad, i did not tip them good enough. The Manager Catherine was great and Sergio did alot to make my stay a great one.

The pictures listed on the site give you a false view of the motel. It makes the motel look nicer than it actually is. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, orange juice, muffins/danishes/donuts (not all on the same day...usually one or two choices.) They were always out of coffee and it took forever for them to make more. Also listed on the amenities page was "free movie channels and wireless internet". Out the the 12 TV channels 4 were news (national), 4 sports, 2 local news channels, and Animal Planet and Discovery Health Channel. There were no ABC, CBS, NBC channels. Also there were no kid friendly channels. (if staying here with children, bring a portable DVD player and your own movies, or the kids will be bored out of their minds.) In order to use the phone you had to pay a $10 deposit. There are no microwaves(there is one in the office though...can you say not convenient), no iron/ironing board, blow dryer, etc. If you needed to use an iron, you had to pay $10 for each, and had to bring back right after use (only had one iron and ironing board...for the entire motel.) Parking lot was small and in bad shape. Lighting around motel was not that great. There were always people cruising through the parking lot, and it was very evident that they were not guests. There were not enough washcloths and towels for all of us. After requesting enough washcloths be left each morning, I gave up. The staff seemed indifferent and gave off the impression that they hated their job and that if you had questions, you were going to get an attitude along with a seemingly useless answer. The location was ok, had a beautiful view of the nature reserve, but that was about it. I was somewhat dissappointed because of the attitude of the employees and also the lack of amenities that were listed and not included in the room. The room was clean and appeared to have been re-vamped. Lighting in the rooms was poor and the locks on the doors did not work consistantly. I am not sure if I would stay there again. In hindsight, I would probably opt to stay at a hotel such as Days Inn (which was located less than 1/2 mile from Good Nite Inn). I advise you to do your homework prior to booking a stay with Good Nite Inn.

My family and I were taking a trip to SD for about 3 days and when we tried checking in, it took forever. First, the receptionist could not find our reservation. I had a copy of the confirmation, so we were able to check-in & pay the price we booked it for on-line. as soon as we got into the room, it stank. the room was nasty...and we specifically asked for a non-smoking room. It was so difficult to breathe that we asked for a different room. when we got to the new room, it was no different, so we decided to look for a different place. When we tried to argue that the hotel was not what we expected, we were told, that we still had to pay for one night for not cancelling on time!! Can you believe that? we were so upset and disgusted with this place that we didn't care having to pay the one night. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for. I was expecting a hotel in better condition (for paying $60/night), even motel 6 is better. If you don't mind the smell of cigarrette and the dirtyness, you should be fine.

This was such a horrible experience and I definately would not stay here....even if it was free!!

Good

Accommodations were clean and sufficient. We were were just staying a few nights and looking for a place to rest our head. The area worked well as it was within 20 minutes of many attractions, and the price was great. Enjoyed the pool too. There were also some great eating spots within 1 mile easy to get to by car. My only disappointment was the phone had not been turned on, even though I used a credit card at check-in, however, with one phone call it was fixed.
