Good
The buffet in the Golden Nugget is more upscale than those in the downtown hotels nearby. It is consistent with the decor of the rest of the hotel, marble and brass predominate. The carving station has fine prime rib and the stations are divided by...

Good
Its location is just next to Fremont Street. Compare to other hotels around that area, this is the nicest one. I found the room very comfy and clean. Although the check in process was kind of slow, it's worth staying.

This was the best hotel we found in most of Vegas. It was not quite as glitzy as the Bellagio or Cesars, but if you want clean honest fun and a little peace and quiet in your room, the Golden Nugget is the place to be. The staff are really...

At the risk of sounding like scrooges, as a couple aged 54 and 64, the idea of lots of children running around doesn't appeal at all - neither does walking long distances. This hotel was practically 'adults only'. Rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. Services were good. It's within short walking distance of many other points of interest including Freemont Street Experience which is outside the door - renting a car is absolutely not necessary!

My husband and I stayed at the Golden Nugget in June and had a great time. The service was very good and the location can't be beat! We ate their breakfast buffet every morning (they gave us a coupon book) because it was 2 for 1 with the coupon. The food and selection were wonderful!!! We also made time to lay out by the "Tank" and did not have a problem in finding a couple of lounge chairs. Some people have commented on the construction, but we weren't bothered by it all. We stayed in the south tower and the room was very nice, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean. We didn't gamble much at the Golden Nugget so I can't comment on the casino. Overall, the GN can't be beat for it's service, location, and the value you get for your money.

Got great Hotwire rate .Stayed at the Hilton earlier on this trip and although a nice place also; The Golden Nugget impressed with things to do ,proximity to Freemont Street and the Pool Slide/Aquarium is Great . The Buffet was Average ,but the bars and clubs are happening. Go onto Freemont Street and walk to any Buffet, Casino or establishment that you choose .
