It is a great value and the hotel has been renovated. They have very good restaurant food and service, clean rooms, a nice size casino and the new pool is gorgeous. The staff is great. I have been there three times in three months.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They have very generous complimentary items to former customers. They have very clean accommodations.

I am very likely to return to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It is an excellent four star hotel located downtown. It has good restaurants, pleasant rooms, easy in and out valet parking.

This hotel made me feel content: We have stayed there on many occasions and we are comfortable with the location, the variety of entertainment and the helpful staff. The rooms are pleasant.

I am very likely to return to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.

This was my first trip to Vegas and I was a bit reluctant to stay "downtown" as I have been told by everyone it is not as nice as the strip. I was very pleased with the Golden Nugget. Beautiful lobby, clean and safe atmosphere. Nice casino and the only place I was really successful winning a substantial amount of $ from the slot machines. Buffet was nothing to write home about but we got a free food/beverage allowance so it was ok for free. The staff was nice(what little interaction I had with them) good daily maid service. I would stay there again if I were to stay downtown.

My wife and I have been going to Las Vegas for 20+ years and the Golden Nugget has been our hotel of choice for those many years. However, this past visit will be our last to stay at the Nugget. It was not anything in particular that lead us to this decision. It just doesn't feel like the Golden Nugget of old.

We always stayed downtown; because that was the Vegas we wanted to be a part of. I have heard many old timers state that Vegas went down when it became a family vacation destination. When we walked into the Nugget, it didn't "feel" like the Nugget we had come to love. Yes, they put in a new pool with a shark tank, and upgraded the casino.

We were looking forward to the Nugget like it was before the changes. The aura however, was not there. Having to get our parking ticket validated every time we left the hotel was a minor thing, but charging us $6.95 to print our boarding passes for our flight home was a bit our of line. In addition, charging $12.00 a day (I believe) for internet access was also out of line. I have been in lower grade hotels that had free internet.

Those things along would not make us not stay at the Nugget again, but as my loving wife put it, "It didn’t smell like the Nugget." No, there was not any strange smells, but the "feel", the "aura", and the "overall ambiance" was not there. On our next trip, we will stay at a Marriott property, where at least we get credit points on our Marriott account. What was interesting: as we were checking out, we were talking to another couple about their stay. They felt the same way as we did.

I understand the Nugget must try to compete with the hotels on the Strip, but they must remember the customers that stayed with them over the long haul. I guess their making money is the bottom line. But as a result for their changes, they will not be getting any of ours ever again.

The air conditioner was broken and they were there to fix it quickly and efficiently. I was very satisfied with the stay.

This hotel made me feel hip: It was a very lively place where young and old adults co-mingled and had a very enjoyable time. This hotel caters to the young and the young at heart, they have something for everyone.

I am very likely to return to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel is fantastic, although it is not on the downtown strip it was wonderful. The room was large and comfortable and very clean and neat. The staff was very nice with the exception of taking us to the wrong door for limo pickup and we had to run to the other side of the hotel for our limo. It’s a very good value also. The price was about the same as the Fitzgerald which is a nightmare and filthy.

This hotel made me feel entertained: The staff was very nice and informative in teaching us the games.

I am very likely to return to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They have great front desk service. Our room was upgraded when there was a delay of the reserved room not being ready for occupancy. The food and bar service was great. Parking was close by and accessible.

This hotel made me feel content: The room and service was what I expected.

The hotel is being renovated so there was quite a bit of construction going on, both inside and outside. Despite all of this activity, the hotel and casino staff was excellent at their jobs. The Golden Nugget is probably the nicest hotel in downtown Las Vegas, and it's not quite as busy and noisy as the casinos and hotels on the Strip. I enjoyed visiting the Strip, but I was really glad that I stayed downtown. If you don't mind a little noise and dust, the Golden Nugget is a great hotel that doesn't cost nearly as much as the hotels on the Strip. The casino is smaller than the Strip casinos, but the payoffs and service are much better.

This hotel made me feel secure: There were always security people moving around the casino. Everything was well lit. Hotel personnel were often moving in the hallways.

I am very likely to return to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The good point is that it is the best in downtown Las Vegas. The bad point is that it is in downtown Las Vegas.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: They treated us as valued guests. They were able to meet any needs that came up during our stay. They were quick to answer any questions.
