The quality of the hotel has not diminished in the 15 years we have been staying at the facility. But the casino is getting too noisy and crammed with machines. Hopefully the new owners (Landry Corp.) will upgrade and expand the facility.

This is a nice hotel, but compared with the Midwest where I live, the Nevada employees seemed to just be there to draw a paycheck or tip. They do not want to go out of their way to do anything other than the bare minimum. This was not just at the Golden Nugget but anywhere in Las Vegas.

Overall, the hotel is very comfortable. However, with new owner, changes made to credit line are very upsetting/insulting. They require you to pay off your marker first before they will give you the remainder of your wins. Also, there is one particular person at the slot desk who is not very personable.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. I felt that security was good. But we felt we were a little neglected as for courtesy drinks were concerned.

This hotel is cheaper than those on the Strip. It's closer to other casinos, making it easier to do a 'casino crawl.' It's also cleaner than other hotels in the area.

I was vas very happy with our stay. The staff was friendly and courteous, and I loved the location.

This was the best hotel in downtown Las Vegas. It's good value for the money. I liked the coffee shop - Carson Street Cafe is a good value for the money. The hotel has a friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

We like the downtown location-it is a good central spot where we can drive to other casinos easily. The restaurants are very good. We stay there frequently and always enjoy our stay.

This was a family trip, a member went into the hospital and three members did not go. Another family meeting there was going to use the rooms 'that were already paid for!' and Nugget would not allow it, even after verification.

I think that the Golden Nugget is the best casino in the downtown area. It is on par with other properties that are on or near the Las Vegas Strip. If you like the old town Vegas feel, but still want all the amenities of the new Vegas then the Golden Nugget will be right up your alley.

The location was perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable and attractive.

The location wasn't as good as I would have liked but it was okay. The service was okay and the casino was handy.

The location is very convenient, close to other casinos and the Fremont experience downtown. The rooms were comfortable, made up promptly. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The restaurants were excellent.

It's very clean and has glamorous decor. The casino is not too smoky and they have good service at the buffet.

I was extremely happy with all accommodations. I used to stay there quite a bit, it used to be that the machines were so tight and staff not so friendly. This has all changed and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I had always wanted to stay in downtown Las Vegas, so I finally did. I was surprised by the quality and beauty of the hotel, but didn't like the location in relation to the 'Strip.' It was too far removed from the other hotels, and made changing for dinner or just dropping things off in the room a chore. Next time I visit Las Vegas, I will stay somewhere on the Strip.

The hotel has a wonderful buffet restaurant. I loved eating at the cafe. They have beautiful and spacious rooms -- they were much better rooms than I expected. I loved the room decor and vanity. The bathrooms were very nice. It has a great casino. I will be back.

I liked the cleanliness and comfort of the room. I liked the restaurant and the friendly wait staff. I disliked the long walk to get to the casino.
