Stayed here for 7 nights, postponed our departure by another 14 days as the weather was great. They have a fantastic swimming pool and it was heated. Love Love this place and definately will be back here again.
Really close to the Ringling School and New College. Close to the Beaches and Sarasota Downtown area. Best kept secret, and their rooms very well kept and clean. Staff is super curteous and very helpful.

Excellent
I stayed at this hotel with 3 friends in October 2008. Our rooms were large, clean, and beautifully situated, breakfast was continental, served in a cheery, clean room. Best of all, the people running the hotel are wonderfully friendly and helpful;...

Went to visit my friend at New college, this place is very near to wear she lives. It is perfect price range for someone like me on a budget (did I mention free breakfast!!) and they also have a really really nice huge swimming pool. My room was very comfortable and accommodated all my needs. Once during I had to ask the front desk late at night for some extra towels and in five minutes I received fresh towels from the staff. Very courteous and helpful staff at the front desk will provide information on what is going on in town and where to go and what to see. I will definitely be back here and this place was the best decision I have made on a vacation

I booked at this hotel based on the price and the overall positive reviews. Was very disappointed. The room was clean enough for what it is, but had very poor sound-proof walls and I could hear everything in the next room (I've stayed in a fair number of cheap hotels/motels, never had noises this bad). Our tv remote didn't work and the staff did nothing about it.
If you bring earplugs and get booked in one of the rooms that faces the pool, then it would be okay. Otherwise it's not worth it. There are plenty of other discount hotels nearby.
