Golden Gate Hotel and Casino Hotel - Page 1

Our visit at the Golden Gate hotel was very satisfactory. The location was just what we wanted. The service was good. We had no complaints.

We stayed at the Golden Gate for two nights in March 2007. We read other reviews and they were helpful.

Yes, the hotel is quaint, but that's refreshing. Yes, the rooms are small, but not cruise ship small. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean.

Our sleep was disturbed for two reasons we couldn't blame on the facility: a young couple who had been drinking returned to their room next to ours at 4 am and proceeded to make noise we could clearly hear for 30 minutes. Second, a previous guest in our room had set the alarm clock to go off at 6 am, which it did. Other than that, we slept well.

But this hotel is smack at the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience and if you haven't seen it, I think it's worth a trip to Vegas all by itself. Also, the downtown casinos have more of a variety of gambling, and cheaper, too.

This is an old nostalgic hotel. A visit to see the older things is great but I don't suggest you stay here.
