I have been to Vegas several times and had stayed on the strip on all my previous trips. This time I opted to look for a value choice while spending money at my favorite places (Palms, Rio, Hard Rock). I booked a newly remodeled premium non smoking room at the Gold Coast. The decor was nice with an Asian theme. The sheets were a crisp white and their was no signs of smoking in the room. This room was nicer than the last room I stayed at on the strip at the Luxor. 3 nights over Memorial Day cost me 160.00. It is right across the street from the Palms which was a huge benefit. After partying til 5Am at Rain I staggered across the street :) and went straight to my comfortable king sized bed. You can rent a car and a room at Gold Coast for less than what a room at other places costs. This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and it even had a 32" flat screen TV on the wall (although it was a SD not a HD picture). If you want high price and staff to kiss your butt and don't mind paying exorbitant prices then stay at the Bellagio or the Wynn. If you want a clean place to sleep that's economical while you move on to the next party this is your spot. I'm going back on the 4th and I may stay at the Palms (they like me ;) but I have not ruled out another stay at the Gold Coast by any means. Give it a try!

Okay
Hotel is good and they have free shuttles every 1/2 hr to the strip. Rooms are neat. But, apart from the room charge there is $3/day resort fee which includes parking, in room coffee, free shuttle facilities.
Overall its a decent hotel.
