My family and I stayed at Glenstone Lodge from July 18 through July 21, 2005. It was nice.
LIKES:
· There were plenty of towels.
· No musky or mildew odors.
· Rooms were clean except for the few Oreos under the bed.
· Nice view with creek side.
· It was quiet day and night in our second level room, which was on the very end.
· A/C was great.
· Great pool with plenty of towels available. My 2 yr and 15 yr old loved it!
· Price of room.
· Shower water pressure is far above excellent. Usually the water pressure is so LOW it’s hard to rinse the soap from hair.
· Key card to gain access to room.
· Plenty of parking and free.
DISLIKES:
· Small bathroom.
· Furniture could use some update, especially the lamps.
· Upon arrival, my husband had to remove the crib and refrigerator from the hallway and put them into the bedroom. I would have like the frig in the room cooling down before our arrival.
· Lengthy, uphill walk to the hotel. The trolley was completely filled the three times we attempted to get on. (Need more trolleys).
· Employees at desk could show a little more friendliness.
· Don’t attend while youth church group is there. One girl almost knocked down my 2 year old when exiting the elevator.
· Room rate difference. I had booked via phone in April at a higher price. When I had checked the price via internet for the same room in June, it was $11 cheaper. I had called, and they readjusted the room rate by $11.
· The exhaust fan in the bathroom was inoperable.
Overall:
If you want a five star hotel, then don’t go here. If you want a place to sleep and have a great time with the kids at the pool, then make your reservations (check later for price difference) here.
