36 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
There were people watching us in the parking lot, Travelodge has no security. The room floors, bathroom, and sheets were very dirty. The front desk said was someone coming up - no one showed up for 3 hours. We could not even rest:, in 4 hours, about 5 trains came by no more than 50 yards from the Travelodge.
There were two Spiders and 2000 ants and roaches near the window. Again, the front desk said someone was coming up - no one showed up for 3 hours.
WE asked for a refund after about 4 hours, they said they'd have to mail it – and we never got it, I called Travelodge’s corporate office to complain, they told us that each hotel is independently owned so we can’t do anything. But they offered us a 20% coupon to stay there again.

We didn't die.The room, the service - OK everything.“When we pulled up we literally thought this was an old hotel that had closed down 10 years ago - it looked that bad. They only had half a sign and that was on the ground. It didn't get any better...

This hotel was not clean at all. The Travelodge corporation should be ashamed. I found a syringe in the hallway with blood on it. The front desk clerk came right out of the bathroom and started putting out the continental breakfast – without washing his hands!

This Travelodge was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. There were chicken bones on the floor of the hallway. The pool was so filthy you could not swim in it. There was water all over the floor of the swimming pool area. It looked like

Bugs, Crackheads, Hot Air Conditioning, No Front Desk service, No Hospitality, No Security. It's near an active railroad, the staff never answered the phone - speedy checkout? Yeah, they never came to desk!
