We loved the architecture, interior layout and scheme of the hotel room and historic preservation of the building overall. We give it 4 stars for the overall experience.
We hated the long walk to the casino, the buffet lacked in variety and was cold.
The casino table workers were the worst by far in calculating wins, which resulted in a loss for the patron. Watch your bets and be prepared to calculate your winnings or you’re cheated time and time again.
It’s anextremely small casino gaming floor in comparison to the amount of rooms available for guests, creating a crowded atmosphere. The outdoor hot tub was a joke! After finding assistance to slide the stuck door open to the outdoor patio, it was no more than a hole in the concrete, and the power button, was way over on the side of the building and not labeled, so again assistance was needed, I ad walk to the hotel lobby while in swimwear and dripping wet! What a sight.
The employees lacked in knowledge and were found loitering the grounds in groups, talking among themselves. But indeed, they had a hand out for that ever sought after gratuity!
It’s not worth the 2.5 hour drive, or the pricey room rate. We would rather take a tour of the building and be done with it, and save our money for Vegas!
