Unless your children are 16 or older, expect that the beautiful pool shown in all the pictures, is off limits.
We booked a family rate/room and were shocked (and very dismayed after 15 hours of travel) to find that we were not allowed in the pool or spa. This information is not shown in the reservation confirmation from the hotel, or given out with Sherwood phone reservations, it was only at the front desk that we were told that there was an single and obscure note on one of the numerous hotel web site pages about this important detail.
From the reaction of the front desk crew/manager, I would guess that we have not been the only guests who encountered this problem.
I would not recommend this hotel for families. In addition to the family unfriendly atmosphere and lack of facilities, the hotel is located in a commercial/mall area.
We traveled further to Feldkirch, where there is a rather nice Holiday Inn (with a friendly indoor pool), in a lovely old town location. You could walk to many restaurants, cafes and a charming Saturday market.
