Four Points by Sheraton LAX Hotel - Page 1

We got on the bus to Four Points, but the driver took us to Hilton without letting us konw. Everyone got off the bus and found out we got to the wrong hotel. Then, we had to wait for 40 min for another bus to come.

Our room was booked and paid by Sigapore Airline. I gave the front desk the voucher when I checked in the hotel. Three months later, the hotel charged me $79 on my credit card. I called the hotel from Taiwan to ask about the charge three times. The answer is ---- they lost the voucher and they had no idea where it is. I didn't want to waste my money by calling them those international phone calls, so I paid the $79.

Be aware of this hotel.

Delta flight to Cincinnati was canceled due to snow. Delta rep called Four Points Sheraton and made a reservation. We went straight to the hotel with a voucher signed by the Delta rep but were told one room would cost twice as much. We asked to see the night manager who was rude and ignorant. Because we were stranded, he refused to honor the rate Delta secured for emergency layovers. We filed a complaint with Delta, our travel agent and Four Points. So far, we have yet to hear from Four Points. The room was old but with a fresh coat of paint. The bathroom was cluttered and difficult to move around in and the room was very small for having two full size beds. My advice is to avoid this hotel. We have since learned that there are other, much nicer hotels with friendly, helpful staff within 10 minutes of LAX. Wished we had known that before we went on vacation!

I chose the Four Points because I've stayed in other Four Points that were very nice (Philadelphia sticks out in my mind). I stayed at the LAX property two nights while attending training in the vicinity.

My room was dingy. The bowed shower curtain rod with the wrong type of curtain caused water to leak on the floor in the bath. I had to go outside to get to my room - ala Motel 6 - which was creepy. I could hear the planes at the airport.

Bed was good.

The breakfast buffet was adequate.

We ate lunch there once -- big mistake. Took 45 minutes to get our order in a nearly empty restaurant. The food was cold and we had to wolf it down to get back to training on time. They added the gratuity into the bill automatically (we had a party of four).

The parking was inconvenient and crowded. I felt unsafe in the parking lot. I have since stayed at the Crowne Plaza. Much better experience there.

The parking staff were a big cheat. They charged me $12 per day even though the front-desk gave a parking receipt. Now, the hotel can't find any record of my cash payment. So, i am charged $48 for 2 days of parking.

The room was smelly and looked like a road-side hotel. The room service was slow. I would avoid this hotel.

We had a early flight and need to be close to the airport and we booked the 4 points . The bathrooms were not fit for humans. it was dirty with hair in the tubs and on the floor from another guest, mold on the bathroom in the tub area the small bottles of lotion and shampoo were used half empty the non smoking rooms smelt of stale smoke. the management us not very kind to my complaints and after a long wait, I was given another room that was not much better. it did not have hair on the floor. everything was the same.
