We really enjoyed our stay and have stayed at many hotes in Athens since our son is at UGA.
This has been the best one ever. Came to Athens over football weekend and even thought it was so busy, the staff was fabulous and it was a fun filled...
Would not go back - way overpriced for what you get - We paid an AAA rate of $120 for what amounted to a $70 motel room. Musty smell in room, loud air conditioner, and housekeeping yelling back and forth outside my room at 8am on Sunday. Also, tried ...

My husband and I came to Athens in early May 2008 for a house hunting trip and we needed a nice place to stay, close to the UGA and downtown. The hotel was what we thought it would be. They gave us a room in the first level saying all second-level rooms were occupied, but we didn't mind.
We had breakfast in their Hoyt House restaurant 3 times and the food was very good. They were the only place in town who had fruit salad (I tried a couple of other places for lunch and they didn't). Eggs Benedict were great.
Parking was not a problem, plenty of spaces. May be the time of our visit was right, since we left just before Mother's day and commencement at the UGA.
The room was nothing special, a big comfortable bed, very soft sheets.
Once we forgot to leave tips and housekeeping gave absolutely no additional supplies.
Free high-speed internet, free parking .. well, what else .. great food for breakfast .. rather quiet neighbors :)
I would recommend this hotel.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Foundry Park Inn & Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
We expected a nice inn, but though the room was large and comfortable, the bed and bedding were terrible and the heating/air conditioning too noisy. Neither of us got prolonged sleep and the discomfort increased as the night wore on and on.....

We had a fabulous time! The beds had the best mattress of any hotel in Athens. We visit often to see our son at UGA. This is definitely the place to stay. They have it all - excellent breakfast, wonderful massage at the Spa and then there was even a live music show in the Melting Point. Our son loved the band and we will stay there every time we visit Athens.
Basically, it was simply amazing. The staff is wonderful. They help you at the drop of a hat. The Hoyt House food was awesome...I definitely reccommend spending the extra dollar on that food.
