It touted itself as a classy, elegant place that would remind us of old times. The room we stayed in was smelly, and our neighbors said theirs were too. According to the brochure, the hotel had been renovated completely just a couple years ago. I

We joined seveal family members utilizing several rooms in different parts of the hotel. The annex was AWEFUL! The room in the annex was musty, filthy and not ready until after 9PM (arrived at noon). The hotel found one other room in the annex (after 1-hr discussions), but that was just as bad. One of our family members stayed on the first floor lakeside. They were kept awake until 3AM and risen at6 AM by folks hanging out on the veranda (the hotel sold coffee directly outside their window in the early morning). Pools were filthy, areas surrounding unkept and garbage left lying everwhere. Management did nothing to keep other guests quiet; even past 1AM! Filthy place, poor managent, terrible food and service at the "restaurant". This place doesn't even get a 1-star rating.

horrible...."barbie" actual name of booking agent doesn't seem to know that this hotel does not have its own beach or which rooms come with a refrigerator. overpriced considering the condition of what they consider a premium room. i stayed in a premium lakeview room, not very clean and had several varieties of bugs. If you are staying with children and have a lot of luggage or strollers be aware that there are no elevators in the east wing and no bag service (nice resort right) the indoor pool is quite milky looking and there is no poolside service available, also good luck waiting for them to fill the towels. paid a lot of money for 4th of july week and they were renting parking space for the fireworks show so we couldn't take our car to dinner or we wouldn't have had a spot when we came back. overall very disappointing and badly managed. would never stay there again. they also have the nerve to tack on a resort fee.

Where do I begn? No help whatsoever with your bags upon arrival (this is a "resort" isn't it). With the prices that they charge for the rooms I have gotten a better room, cleaner pool area (dirty towels everywhere, dirty diaper under loung chairs, drink containers all over), a pool area WITH towels available (when asked for more the attendant said "we don't have any more because they need to be laundered.", "no sh-- sherlock!"), for A LOT less money.
Paid top price for a suite, but had the coffee station right in front of the window which opened at 6am every morning. At night, it got even better since they situate their "outdoor" bar area on the same patio that also shares windows to hotel rooms.
When other guests in our party arrived at 3pm their room wasn't ready. They went back at 6pm and it STILL wasn't ready. When they finally got the room it was 2 double beds instead of 1 king as reserved as well as the room had an awful moldy/musty smell to it.
Sunday brunch? I don't think so. Not here. Better get up early because even on Sundays, they close their kitchen at 11am. Nice huh?
Save your money and save yourself an awful experience in a beautiful town. Go ANYWHERE else but here.

Our suite was large enough to accommodate six adults comfortably. The view was outstanding! The staff was courteous and available. Both the White Lion restaurant and JT Kelly's restaurant had excellent food and service.
I felt elegant just by being in this beautiful hotel. The grounds were immaculate. It almost felt like being in a mansion.
I am very likely
to return to the Fort William Henry Resort & Conference Center.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was a nice hotel centrally located in Lake George Village. The back patio was nice for relaxing at. Overall we had a very good stay.
Mainly, the hotel made me feel extravagant because we had a hot tub in our room and we made a bubble bath in the hot tub, along with the comfortable accommodations and excellent movie selections.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband as part of a large function. While we enjoyed the lovely views of Lake George, the hotel is more like a cheap motel in many ways. Part of the "hotel" is actually very tacky motel units, while the central part of the hotel has been updated. The food at the hotel is diner quality at best, and they don't know how to serve buffet food correctly. It doesn't seem to be rocket science to keep food hot on a buffet table, but it is beyond the level of this establishment. Appetizers that were served before the meal were cold and greasy. It was just a disgusting affair all around.
