An elegant historic hotel in the grand style. Beautiful lobby, gracious rooms. Excellent service and amenities. Loved the free on-call coffee and biscotti room service. And it was the best bed I've ever slept in--I'm on the trail of duplicating it the minute we get home. Courteous, well-trained, helpful staff. A top-of-the-charts experience without the top-of-the-charts price. The hotel is as magnificent inside as it is outside. Rooms were large and spacious with high ceilings. Public rooms are also very elegant. The lobby/foyer and bar were particularly grand. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone that will be traveling over to Manitoba to give this hotel a try. You wont’ regret this pick.

Went to have a romantic weekend. The hotel was very full and we had a lovely room on the 7th floor. Unfortunately there was a party (wedding perhaps) in the top floor ballroom. The bass from the music made sleep difficult. We decided we'd rather be home and went to check out at 12:30 am. The reception staff apologized and gave us a free night in a nicer room, still to be used.
