47 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

Although Penny & her family don't run summer camps for kids any longer, the ranch is still a great place for a quick (my kids & hubby are always wishing for longer) get away in any season.

Penny is such a gracious hostess, along with her kids who are now grown & helping out. So much diversity in lodging opportunities, from rustic to pampered & posh, well supplied cook houses and campfire ring - she's even supplied s'mores makings when we forgot ours, and a pool, brisk & refreshing on those hot summer days.

Penny still loves working with groups - schools, churches, scouts, etc. and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We even watched movies on the side of the shower house one summer with some girl scouts - if you stay you'll have unforgettable memories too.

36 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at the Flying Horseshoe Ranch when I was a child for several years. I was so fond of it with the songs by the campfire, the horseback riding, the friends, pool, archery and riflery. I went back and worked for a summer there before I started college at Central Washington University. All the great memories returned.

A few years ago when travelling through the area, I heard that George had passed. Extremely sad news as George and Penny both hold a special place in my heart. Never will I walk past a piece of trash and not pick it up!!

I am sorry to see that the ranch is no longer open to kids as it once was. I do hope all the memories are still there to be had...
