I really liked the go rooms, very clean and comfortable. The rooms weren't to sound proof. Nice outdoor pools and nature walk, with great rooms with a great view. Not the best service in the world. i.e.. They told us that our rooms would be ready by...
I planned a 40th birthday party for my husband (who has never been) in Vegas with 13 of our closest friends who were all staying at the Flamingo. Upon making the reservations we were all to be placed on the same floor however; when our friends arrived they had trouble getting the rooms that we were originally told we were going to have. (Note: we called the hotel on several occasions prior to our arrival to ensure)
We arrived at the Flamingo around 10pm to check in on Wednesday, June 25th. The reservation desk told us that our room wasnt clean and it is a 30 minute wait. We thought that was strange as check-in is at 3pm in which we were well past that time. In addition, several members in our party had complications when checking into the hotel as well. We checked in and upon walking into the room it had a very strong 'cleaning' smell. As it was just cleaned we thought it would lighten up so we unpacked and left the room to check the hotel out. Upon arriving back in our room about 2:30am....the room was filled with a very harsh chemical smell with an aroma of vomit. My husband walks over the side of the bed in his bare feet only to step in the large wet spot where the vomit was cleaned up! The chemical smell is so bad that our friend staying in the room with us gets an allergic reaction in his eye which puffs up and gets all red. You could not breath in the room so we all went out into the hallway.
I proceed down to the reservation desk to inform them as we can not sleep in this room. After speaking with the reservation desk and a manager, they were aware that they knowingly put us in a room that should have not been used for at least a couple days. They offered us another room in which we had to move rooms at 3:30am! At no time, did the manager offer to comp our night but telling me that he was giving us this amazing room .yeah .not so amazing but at least it didnt smell like vomit.
As far as the rooms they are not what they appear to be on the website and the customer service prior to our arrival and upon arrival was very dissatisfying.
We did rent a cabana at the 21 and over pool on a Friday. We had a great time and the service was wonderful. The pool area of the hotel is awesome and the employees in the pools, bars and other areas are very friendly and kind.
Shall we travel back to Vegas in the future; we will not stay at the Flamingo.

Its location to other attractions in the city.Smoking allowed in most of the public areas. For an older hotel, it was well kept and somewhere I would stay again in the future.
35 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
We stayed 5 nights last week in a Go Luxury w/Strip View room. Loved it. Great view of the Bellagio fountains & Caesar's, the furnishings were new, bed was very comfortable, mini-fridge & safe in room, even a plasma built in the bathroom mirror. Check in was lengthy but staff was very friendly and tried to keep things moving along. The only drawback was the live band which had set up at front of Caesar's w/speakers facing directly toward the Flamingo. We were on the 21st floor & the band played all night up to around 7am....ouch! Pool is excellent, albeit crowded. All in all, a great value & we would definitely stay again.

It was a pleasant surprise that the habitat area had been remodeled so beautifully. No criticism. We liked the location and were especially impressed with the buffet. The price was very fair and the food was very good. Excellent...
