This is a great hotel for a great value! It has the best pool in Las Vegas!

This hotel made me feel excited: I look forward to the trip to the Flamingo hotel every year. I go every June and it is the highlight of my year!

I am very likely to return to the Flamingo Las Vegas.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the strip and all the action. We liked pool and the tropical theme. The hotel rooms facing strip have good view of Bellagio fountain show and Caesar's palace.

I checked into the Flamingo with a group of people. (8 different rooms). Each was given rooms that started on the 6th or 8th floor in the oldest part of the hotel. The rooms where filthy!

The furniture was torn, stained and broken down. The bathrooms had black marks all over the tile with rust around the faucets. When asked to change rooms we were told the hotel was full and we would need to wait until check-in the next day (4pm).

Customer service at the flamingo is rude and unhelpful. We eventually all ended up in a room on the 28th floor that was old but clean. I just returned to the Flamingo after checking out for 2 days and asked for a room on the 28th floor and now there is a $50 upgrade fee for these rooms because the size of the room is a few feet larger. This place will milk anyone dry of money that they can! Beware and hang on to your wallets! One word for the Flamingo: IMPLODE!

Centrally located, right opposite Caesars Palace, you're on the corner that also includes The Bellagio & Ballys - and within easy walking distance of The Mirage, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Wynn, Harrahs & Imperial Palace.

A lovely, older property which is spread over 6 different towers, the Flamingo offers (generally) great prices for just about the best location in Vegas. The Deluxe rooms are fine (upgrade to the Go Luxury rooms and ask for a view of The Bellagio fountains! You can sit there and watch the displays from the best possible viewpoint!) without being anything mind shattering. The buffet is, again, very good - but there are slightly better choices at Harrah’s for about the same price. However, the two real selling points here are the staff (who were very helpful, always) and the pool area - which is simply a mind boggling array of five pool areas, fountains and waterfalls, set in a magical natural habitat area with Koi carp, flamingoes, exotic bird species etc.

It's also easy to access - unlike some other Vegas pool areas- and gets the sun all day long! Great for kids - and the small shopping areas are great for those last minute presents. Ideal, all round.

but would give people the heads up on the lack of tea and coffee in the rooms which we are use to having in European hotel's and also those we have stayed in in the US. Even the Cuban's give you coffee, and a mini bar which is included. Bit of a drag having to get up and join the Q at the cafe shop for coffee - and why is tax added to everything - bit of a pain. The hotel is central, the staff and good - apart from the waiting staff in the buffet restaurant. The Q in the morning for breakfast is always long. Its not because the restaurant is packed, its because the staff can't cope with the amount of people in the room. You have to ask for coffee, juice, champagne, and if you leave your table they will whip your plate and cutlery and it takes an age to get another set. They should employ younger waiting staff because the staff in there can't cope and are more interested in chatting to customers or each other - food was good though - room was clean apart from a few stains on the carpet, and the under sheet on the bed didn't reach the bottom of the bed. Never had a problem with the room keys like someone else said, and liked the fact that security guards walked along the corridors. There were ten of us staying in the hotel, and no-one had a complaint about this place. Would stay there again especially after visiting the other hotels and seeing that most of them, even the newer one's were nothing special.

They've renovated rooms, when we asked for a renovated room, we were told it's $50 extra per night, so we said "forget it." When we asked for a room with a view of the strip, were told it's $20 extra per night, which last time when we stayed in another hotel, got a veiw of the strip and it cost no extra $$$. We took a regular room which was filthy, and wallpaper falling off the walls in the bathroom. Went back to the front desk and told them we wouldn't stay in that room, gave us another room, which wasn't much better. The rugs were absolutely disgusting, dirty. One pillow case had either red paint or red ink on it and when we checked out 6 days later, the same pillow case was on the pillow. We were very disappointed with this hotel and wouln't recommend it, and it wasn't cheap either...$155 per night.

Good value for the money. We stayed at the Flamingo as our 2nd of two hotels in a recent trip to Vegas. While not as luxurious as other higher-profile hotels like the MGM Grand, it was comfortable enough, and the food was good. The daily rate was very reasonable given that it is very conveniently located relative to all the other major attractions on the strip. Some parts of the hotel could have been a little cleaner, but overall a positive experience. We also really liked the animal habitat on display.

I am very likely to return to the Flamingo Las Vegas.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

...because you probably won't be able to get into your room. A little too reminiscent of the college dorm experience - You know, everybody sitting in the hallway outside their respective doors. Every time we called the desk because our keys wouldn't work, we had to wait at LEAST 45 minutes, and every time they just gave us new keys...which didn't work either. And it wasn't just us - at one point there were three room's worth of guests camping outside their doors, waiting. Whenever another guest walked by they would simply smile sympathetically and say "It happened to us, too..." How's this for historical - the Flamingo is about to be the first hotel ever to charge $100/night to sleep in the hallway.

The Flamingo is a decent place to stay in Vegas, but then again there are plenty of other decent places as well as plenty of other really good places. We tried it in March 07 just to try a place we hadn't stayed before, as well as to see if one of the "older" Vegas hotels had any historic charm, but all in all I was underwhelmed. While the place was certainly serviceable, there was nothing remarkable about our stay there. The room service was ok. I won't stay there again, but others may find it perfectly acceptable.

I am not likely to return to the Flamingo Las Vegas.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I have stayed there several times before. The hotel is very convenient and well laid out inside. Nothing is too far away. It also is one of the oldest on the Strip and is historically significant. The recent renovations and room furnishing upgrades make it even better.

This hotel made me feel practical: As a previous guest there was no charge for my four-night stay in a very nice room.

I am very likely to return to the Flamingo Las Vegas.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I requested a non-smoking room. They could only get a smoking optional room. It would have been a hassle to change when one did become available.
