I had a wonderful room with a wonderful view!

While it's true that the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel was undergoing a major renovation, which made the total experience less than I would have expected, I found it hard to believe that when a colleague asked to pre-pay his room, the staff was unable to calculate the fees. But even more entertaining was when the staff demanded payment from him the next day, and were still unable to calculate the fees. Additionally, wake-up calls were non-existent and the alarm clocks required a degree in computer engineering to operate.

My husband & I have been coming to the Flamingo for almost 10 years. We always recommend the Flamingo. We tell others that the Flamingo is an older hotel and if they want something fancy then don't stay there. Most have stayed there after hearing about our experiences staying at the Flamingo.

There were holes in the blankets and slits in the sheets. The sheets were so coarse that they irritated my skin. They were replaced with starched, hypoallergenic ones. I ended up sleeping between two blankets!

The mattresses sagged.

There was no coffeemaker for my morning caffeine.

There were not enough towels (for two) upon arrival.

The toilet continued to run after flushing (but was promptly fixed).

There were plenty of hangers after my initial request for additional ones.

There was no concierge for ticket or boarding pass assistance.

The flamingos and penguins reeked (115 degrees in the shade) so badly that it was impossible to pass them and thus get to the pool.

Food in the hotel restaurant is very good.

Service has definitely gone downhill since the last time I stayed there. The food is not up to par either.

Bathroom lighting was very poor.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: Because it was such a glamorous place to stay I will continue to go back.

This hotel made me feel content: Very warm greeting when picked up. I especially liked the airport check-in (allowing me to bypass the hotel counter check-in).

Feels like a second home when I am there, except pampered a little. Gorgeous view from a lovely room.

This hotel made me feel important: VIP services was extremely welcoming. I got a beautiful room with wonderful views. The hotel staff stressed that I should call if needed anything.

Enjoyed the room and the stay.

This was a very relaxing place. My only complaint was that, when asked, the information place did not tell us about the 24-hour bus pass for $5.

Front desk was slow and rude!

Great hotel, excellent location and a great value!

We often get comped at the Flamingo locations and are treated very well.

This hotel made me feel hip: We're treated like VIP's since we're locals. Actually this Flamingo is located in Laughlin, but it's the same company. They're all connected.
