The location was nice but our room did not have a refrigerator even though it was promised. Our rooms were not ready when we got there. It was stressful to check in. The food was not the best.

I am very likely to return to the Flamingo Cancun Resort and Plaza.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We tried for a budget hotel, but we found that even for a lower budget, this was not a bang for the buck.

The beds were terrible, the shower did not work properly and bathroom was dirty, and they did not clean properly on a consistent basis. The A/C did not work properly. Knobs on balcony door kept falling off. Light fixtures worked only 50%, the fridge didn't work. The front desk service was extremely slow, but the staff was friendly.

The beach was nice, which made up for some of the disappointment of the room conditions. Easy bus access to downtown, however so that part was good. The internet was hardly ever working, their phones are tricky to use, you need to ensure the phone card is for the right phone.

I am not likely to return to the Flamingo Cancun Resort and Plaza.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Think twice before booking at this hotel! My husband and I are big believers that the room does not matter, how much time are you spending there anyway?

So when we read some of the negative reviews about the hotel, we were not that worried. When we got there, our room was not ready, which was OK, it sounds pretty common. So we got some lunch grabbed a drink and sat by the pool. When we finally got a room, it had two full size beds. We usually sleep in a King, so a full size bed would not be comfortable. We asked to switch rooms. At first we were told that there were no other rooms, but soon enough we were given another room.

Both rooms were on the street side, we would have preferred a seaside room, but we didn’t care, at first. But when we went to sleep that night, all we could hear were the cars and the bars across the street until about 3 am. So we asked for another room or a fan to help cover the noise. We were told there were no rooms, but they would bring a fan up. I went to the front desk about every day and they never had any rooms and I never got a fan. We slept about four hours a night. So I am a big believer that the room does not matter, but you have to sleep at some point!

The wait staff was horrible! We had one waiter and one bartender that were good, the rest literally ignored us, even those that we tipped! We would have to walk up the counter at meals to get a drink and ask for a drink, any drink water, juice, beer! I know the wait staff can get busy, but I should not have to beg for water! If you did not tip (even with all inclusive) you would not get served.

The pool side food was not “open” every day, but you were not allowed in the restaurants with a bathing suit on. The restaurants did not follow the times posted. One of the days when the pool side food was not open, we tried to go to one restaurant and it was getting ready to close, so we went to the other and were turned away. We had to go back to the room to change, and when we came back down, the second restaurant was closed, too! We had to go out to get our late lunch!

On the bright side, the hotel was clean and the food was pretty good. There is a little mall across the street and a bus stop within a few feet of the front door so it was very easy to get around!

It’s near an amazing beach, they have excellent food. It was very clean and they had a fun staff. This was the perfect hotel for everyone, families, couples, romantics, and even partiers.

They may say that the room service in included with the all inclusive but it is not. The only downfall was that my camera and a bracelet were stolen.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Flamingo Cancun Resort and Plaza.
I might recommend it to friends.
