It was relatively expensive for an older hotel. The balconies lack privacy (all open on to a central court with no 'walls' between rooms). Your neighbors are literally a foot away from you, and if they smoke and you don't, you have to put up with it

The Best Western Flagship Oceanfront was the most unclean, unfriendly, least equipped hotel in recent memory. And my memory includes: Pakistan, Turkey, and Korea.
