I recently had a horrible experience with Flagship Resort Inn and still have yet to have heard anything from the owner after complaining and leaving a horrible review that I was told the Flagship had taken off the reviews.
I stayed at the "resort inn" from May 10-13 in rooms 508 and 509. I had made reservations via phone a month in advance for $69.95 a night. I had reserved 2 rooms that adjoined. After arriving there and paying the remainder of my bill minus what I had paid over the phone, I finally got to check-in. Upon check-in, the room was dirty, smelly, etc. I went out and bought my own cleaners to clean the kitchen and bathroom and Lysoled the bed, and sat down to relax after a 3 1/2 hour ride with a 4 year old in a car to this "resort inn." About 15 minutes later, the front desk clerk calls and says that he has charged more to my credit card because I was originally quoted the wrong price. That irritated me but I said "Whatever, you will not ruin my vacation." Wrong! About an hour later, housekeeping drops a can of commercial disinfectant from their cart, and it rolls under the railing off the 6th floor, and onto my car that was parked in the first parking spot from the right. Big dent! When I tell the next front desk person working, she says "I'm sorry that has never happened to me before." What does that fix? Then she finally calls the owner and he tells her to make me happy and as for the car, call my insurance company.
1. Why should I call my insurance company and pay a deductible when it is his fault that there is a dent in my car, and that is why he has insurance on the business. I work for an insurance company, I know the laws! I also know that the Flagship is 100% responsible and I have taken pictures of the parking lot to prove that there is no sign that says "We are not responsible for damages that happen in this parking lot." None of the staff even looked at my car. No one even cared.
2. The owner's idea of making me happy was to reduce my rate back to the $69.95 I was originally quoted. That's it!
The stay was the worst ever. My husband and I had brought our 4 year old with us and then a cousin and his fiancé. There were underage high schoolers down the hall from us with very vulgar language and they were always drinking beer. There were drunks below us that kept cursing us and throwing full beer cans up to our floors which kept busting everywhere. We tried finding somewhere else to stay but everywhere was sold out. If I would have known the month before when I made the reservations, I could have found another place. A bunch of drunken kids thought it was funny to throw fast food trash all around cars and beer cans behind everyone's tires. The elevator kept sticking between floors and smelled of urine.
The pool didn't even have any water in it so why were they trying to charge me more for my stay? They definitely weren't selling out of rooms at the Flagship; there were plenty of vacancies. The place seemed to smell worse after housekeeping would come. We left the sign up saying do not disturb and housekeeping would still come in. They left a bottle of toilet spray under the bed all 3 days we were there so that tells you that they don't vacuum or clean. There was fungus growing on the cinderblock walls over the bed that kept falling onto the headboard and bed. We would wipe it off and it would be back in about 10 minutes. There were cigarette burns on the bed and all the furniture and the floor, yet the room was non smoking. You would think I was staying at a hotel in Iraq.
