I am from CT and have visited twice (so far). I was very moved by the accommodations, food, and ambience.
I loved the upstairs, the ceilings reminded me of where I grew up in that they were irregularly shaped with wonderful "ins and outs". The sun entered one of the rooms and shone on me as I was awakening. The tub was wonderfully old-fashioned, and helped me experience a feeling from the 1800's, as did the rockers downstairs (a perfect place to quietly read and feel the 'essence').
I also loved the mood in the dining area; the food was varied, and delicious as well. I would highly recommend this Inn if you are looking for a peaceful place to reminisce, or even to take a nearby hike or x-country ski.
