The Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel is in the center of midtown Manhattan, and is just around the corner from the Grand Central Station. The rooms are quite luxurious and are comfortable and well equipped. There are a number of beautiful Courtyard and Penthouse suites, featuring canopied beds. The centerpiece of the hotel is the Wheeltapper Pub, a quaint old-world Irish pub with a railroad theme. It serves an authentic Irish breakfast all day, as well as quality pub grub! A nice change to 'normal' hotel food and it certainly fills you up well for a hard day's sightseeing! There is also a fitness center, which I didn't see and a business center. The staff here are welcoming and friendly. A good hotel in a lovely location.

We stayed June 5-9, 2007. The hotel has a perfect location. You are 1 block away from Grand Central station and the subways. We stayed in the junior suite. It was very nice. The bathroom was large with a big tub and there's a tv in there...
32 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Manhattan, particularly if shopping, theatres, or sightseeing is your main attraction.
The hotel is clean, well-equipped and comfortable, service is very helpful and friendly, and it's location will save you a lot on taxis. Bloomingdales is 5 minutes walk away and 5th Ave. shopping is also within easy walking distance.
The hotel has a homely atmosphere and the Irish-themed nature of the food will be appreciated by British/Irish visitors, proper tea is readily available, as is breakfast with regular Irish sausages, pudding and rashers! Irish visitors will be reminded of Ireland's pre-immigration days as this hotel has more native Irish staff than many Dublin hotels.
