The waiters and the waitresses were very few and far between. You could play on a machine right next to the bar and you still could not get a free drink until the waitress came around. Otherwise, you needed to buy them yourselves.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: They were opened twenty-four hours. They were not overly crowded.

The Fitzgeralds hotel is entirely unsuitable for families especially for those with small children. Everywhere you need to go within the hotel requires you to cross the smoke filled casino. The concierge was not knowledgeable and friendly, she and other staff members were quite rude. The maid service was extremely poor.

The hotel is in a good location if you stay downtown. There are other hotels within walking distance. The rooms are nice for the price. The beds are old, worn and also a little hard. The couple of slot attendants that I encountered were all very nice. The casino floors were clean and neat. The casino floors are also more open then in other hotels in the downtown area. The restaurant has good food, but the service is slow.

I enjoyed my stay at the Fitzgerald's hotel, in that I had a quick and easy check in, a nice room with no outside noise issues, a comfortable bed, a good safe for valuables, a great bathroom, a nice restaurant and access to the Fremont experience just outside, with a street show of singing Elvis impersonators. I had only a slight problem in leaving due to misunderstanding on the bill, which was solved.
