The Fitzgerald's hotel offers our room for free for two or three nights while we gamble at their casino. You cannot beat a deal like that.

This hotel made me feel respected: They upgraded our room to a suite when the carpet was wet in our assigned room.

The hotel is an average priced casino hotel in Las Vegas. The food was below average for Vegas, but the casino was fun. Be sure to make sure your room is ready before you check in. Ours was not and it took a long time to get it cleaned.

The hotel is located off the Strip in the old town and it features the standard hotel and casino amenities. My advice is to request a room high and away from the noise of the Freemont Street Experience.

We don't really have a choice where we stay on our pool league trips but compared to other Freemont Street hotels this one seems to be livelier and always has good promotions for its guests. I like the rewards card program where you get points for gambling there and the buffet is better than some others. It's a good value overall. The only thing I dislike is that they didn't have a poker room last time we were there but this may have changed since poker has become more popular in the past year.

This hotel made me feel hip: They had good music and it was very lively. People seemed to be having fun there. They were relaxed and comfortable and not concerned about image or trying to prove anything. In other words it was a laid back kind of atmosphere.

The poker machine attendants were not always readily available for service. Some of the machines were in disrepair and it looked like they had not been repaired in some time! All of the hotel personnel was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel buffet was very poor! Mostly the food was not hot enough and our waitperson was not ever available for service!

This was one of the lower priced hotels off-strip, and the service was better than a friends who stayed at a hotel that was considerably more. It had a friendly staff, fun and easy-going casino, not at all stuffy. I'd stay there again.

We would certainly recommend the Fitz if you are looking for a nice hotel at a reasonable price. It has many amenities and is in a great location. It isn't pretentious, but it still feels pleasant and appealing. The location on Fremont Street is perfect if you want a slower paced Las Vegas experience. The downtown area is comfortable and much more relaxed than the Strip. It is easier to walk from casino to casino, and the overall atmosphere is somewhat like a summer street dance. This is reflected at the Fitz.
