Farewell Bend Motor Inn Motel - Page 1

Just recently my family and I went to Huntington Oregon to go catfishing. We go 2 times a year and we always stay at Joy Motor Inn (formally known as Farewell Bend Motor Inn, new owners) We have never had a problem with the motel, it has always been very clean and neat. One thing that really impressed me was that they supply you with shampoo and conditioner, and when we were there this last time they gave up free bottled water. The new owners started to re-model the motel rooms and we were able to see a sneak peek and they look really nice, new paint, crown molding, tile, and new sliding glass doors, VERY NICE!! The housekeepers did a good job to ensure that our room was always clean. I cant wait to go back next year!!!

After our family decided to take a trip to the "Snake River" we rented five

rooms at the "Farewell Bend Motor Inn" or also Called "Joy Motor Inn".

Three out of the five rooms toilets over flowed on the floor and after

pluging them actully backed up in the bath tubs, it was AWFUL. The rooms

were the dirtiest I had ever seen. Hair on the Bed sheets , No Phone worked

in any of the rooms, BIG spots and spills on Carpets, could not push or pull

the sliding doors open, no front desk person we had to check in at a local

gas station. I would not recomend this motel to ANY one. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY.

We Rented 5 rooms for 5 families to fish the "Snake River" hoping for great fishing and great rooms. We had good fishing but very bad luck at the motel.

Out of the 5 rooms rented 3 of the rooms toilets overflowed on the floors and

required plunging. After the toilets were plunged raw sewage backed up into the bathtubs, It was a DIRTY and UNSANITARY situation. Carpets, Floors and bedding were just filthy. We checked out early and came home with memories of great fishing and a nightmare motel stay......We also wondered why the motel uses two different names (Farewell Bend Motel) & (Joy Motor Inn)???
