38 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
just visited in august 2007,
this place was nasty, when we went in the floor was so dirty your feet stuck to it, we asked them to mop it and they brought a dirty mop in that just made it worse, would definitely not recommend this motel, it just ruined our vacation, because they wouldn't give a refund so we could go somewhere else........if i were you i would stay away, we were supposed to have a balcony and it wasn't big enough for one person. it was just filthy, i cleaned the toilet and shower before i would even use them

54 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
Don't book online !. I booked online and when I arrived the room was $40.00 more than was on my confirmation page that I had printed out. The manager said that it was because we had booked online, what difference should that have made? They refused to take it off my credit card so we had to stay and pay the difference. Also, I asked what the pet policy was and they said there was a charge and nothing else. When we arrived they told us our dog was not allowed to be left alone in the room, which put a damper on our plans to visit Dollywood for the day.The rooms were ok but needs to be updated and our tiolet was broke and around it was wet.We will not stay at another Family Inn of America twin Mall, mostly because of the shady way the get you when you book online

60 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
Don't stay at the Family Inns of America. This place was nasty. The toilet leaked all in the bathroom floor. There was food left from the previous guests behind the bed. The ceilings and the walls were all stained yellow from the leaks. The "free breakfast" was a joke. You might have gotten some Little Debbie's, bagels, or toast. That is, if you went through the cabinets to find the stuff yourself. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned; there was hair from previous guests. We were afraid to use the blankets due to the hairs that we found on them. The place was unkept and unprofessional. Don't even give this place a try; it cost too much and it was NASTY.

Don't expect 5 star quality at a 2 star price

I have read a lot of reviews that were bad about this hotel and all I can say is they were expecting 5 star service for a 2 star price and you're not going to get that. Me and my family total of 7 ppl in all was very satisfied. The ppl were nice and did their job, The rooms were clean and there were no bed bugs. I stayed in room 309 and the water also ran in the bathroom and it was hot. So to all these ppl that were hating on this hotel, lower your standards or spend some more money and quit making other visitors think this was a bad place to stay. Just because you had a bad experience because your noses were up in the mountains doesn't mean everyone else will!!

40 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We just returned from our vacation and I had to let everyone know what a horrible hotel and staff they have.
We made reservations about a week before arrival and were quoted $149 for Saturday night and $109 for Sunday night in a two bedroom suite. Also, they told us to go to the Chamber of Commerce and pick up a $25 off coupon for both nights before we checked in. We arrived with coupon in hand and the staff made us pay in advance. When I looked at the receipt, they didn't credit the coupon for either night and charged me over $300. I asked the attendant to please correct the overcharge. She stated that they would correct it when we checked out.
Now for the real horror story. We went to our room and quickly realized that only one bedroom had any heat or air. The other didn't even have a single vent or fan. With a two bedroom suite, aren't you expected to be able to sleep with the doors closed for privacy? The staff sent up a $5 box fan and expected it to be OK. The bathroom had mildew stains on the walls and ceiling and the whole place smelled like a wet dog. We had to move a chair to open the sleeper sofa and found molded Doritos underneath. As for the stains on the beds, well we slept on top of all the sheets. We stayed the night and the next morning we asked to be refunded the second night stay and go somewhere else. The clerk was very rude and said their policy was no refunds, period. I told her we were going to dispute the charges with the credit card company if a refund for the night we were not staying was not received. After some smart remarks from the clerk, she said to contact the manager on Monday and she would take care of us. It took almost 2 weeks to partially resolve. By the way, the extra $90 we were charged, the clerk said "the taxes are high here in Pigeon Forge".
Boy, do I wish I would have read some of the reviews first!
