Central to the Financial District, Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, The Fairmont San Francisco is located at the only spot in San Francisco where each of the City's cable car lines meet. The recently completed restoration of the hotel has made this a great place to stay. The rooms and suites are spacious and elegantly decorated. The best views are from the rooms in the Tower, so get one these if you can! There are 2 restaurants and lounges, which both seem fine, although the service in breakfast restaurant can be a little slow, the food is nice. There is a Health and Fitness Center, although there is a fee for this, as there is a fee for the internet access. Although to use both of these for free you can fill out a little form and join the Fairmont Club, which costs nothing!! The hotel is certainly historical as in 1945, delegates from 40 countries met in the historic Garden Room to draft the Charter for the United Nations. The staff here are efficient and polite.

The location was ideal, although it was not very easy to walk around. The exercise facility was an additional charge but it was very small and not a very good value. The drinks at the bar were breathtakingly expensive to a midwesterner such as myself.
They had very nice beds and the room was made quickly and efficiently by the staff. They offered great taxi service.
I am very likely
to return to the Fairmont San Francisco.
I might recommend it to friends.

It was a wonderful experience! I booked a room at discount rates and it was not available. The clerk asked for half an hour about a room and I was significantly upgraded. I asked for a cab to the federal court and the doorman put me into a hotel car to take me there!
They made me feel as though I were one of the high dollar attorneys, not a simple government attorney. I felt that they would do that for any visitor but the feeling imparted was that I was very special!
I am very likely
to return to the Fairmont San Francisco.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to San Francisco. It is in an ideal location and the service is above that of similar hotels. It seems that there are many people on staff waiting to offer any kind of assistance. The staff seems cheerful and genuine. From the beginning to the end, the Fairmont hotel offers great value and services and I would stay there again.
